A Note to Incoming Employees

Please use this website to help you navigate your introduction to Hildebrand Concessions.
You will see that we have included all forms that you will need to download, fill out completely and accurately and bring with you for your interview. You must also bring a copy of your social security card and or some form of current ID (Drivers License or school ID is acceptable.)

The gate times and staff times listed below are all approximate.
The exact start time of each night will be posted in the EMPLOYEE CHECK IN Trailer. Be sure to check the board everytime you check in or when you check out. The next evening’s start time is clearly posted.

DO NOT RETURN ANY FORMS VIA EMAIL
PRINT THEM OUT AND BRING THEM WITH YOU WHEN YOU COME FOR YOU INTERVIEW OR WHEN YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO HAVE YOUR PHOTO ID PICTURE TAKEN.
New Employees: You will need to download, fill out and return all five documents (right).
Returning Employees: You will need to download, fill out and return the Availability Form & 2019 W-4 Form (right).
ALL EMPLOYEES WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR REQUIRED FORMS TO THE OFFICE WHEN COMING TO HAVE YOUR PICTURES TAKEN FOR YOUR NEW ID BADGES.
*remember – you must call ahead and make an appointment to have your photo taken unless a time has been assigned to you.
Note to all applicants –
Do not bring children or *friends along with you when you come to interview. (*unless those friends are also applying)
If you are entering employment during the Event season, you will be placed with a seasoned employee who will teach you the aspects of your job. Be it food or alcohol service, we will make sure you are ready to give great service before you are left on your own.
STATE FAIR BEER STAFF TRAINING
Prior to the Fair starting, we hold 2 training sessions for Beer staff.
The first training is put on by the Fair and is held on the Fairgrounds at the “GARDEN” on the corner of Dan Patch and Underwood. The date of the Training session is Saturday, August 17th at 11 am. This training session is mandatory for ALL NEW EMPLOYEES. All repeat employees need to attend the session every other year. You will need to sign in at the Hildebrand Office Area on the east end of the Plaza Grandstand area prior to attending the Fair “Alcohol Training”. If you haven’t already done so, you will be able to have your ID picture taken as well.
The 2nd training session for Beer Staff will be held at the Hildebrand Office area on Monday night, August 19th, starting promptly at 6:30 pm.
You will be able to pick up your uniform shirt, ID and ticket for the first night prior to the meeting starting.
At the meeting, we will cover some of the finer points of beer pouring and serving, and will also be doing beer & wine sampling (for all those 21 and over).
This is an introduction to other employees, managers and the beer and wine you will be serving. (Food will be available and free to all those attending.)
No photo ID pictures will be done that night.
STATE FAIR FOOD STAFF & SUPPORT STAFF TRAINING
Prior to the start of the Fair, a training session will be held for all food and support staff. The meeting will be held at 2pm Tuesday, August 20th, at the Hildebrand Office check in area.
All new staff will be shown where there concession is and have a chance to practice serving each other food and beverage, take a health department quiz on food safety, practice making change, meet their managers and fellow employees, and pick up your uniforms, IDs, tickets for the first night and get answers for any questions you might have.
This will be the last chance to get a photo ID done or hand in any remaining paperwork. ALL W4s and I9s MUST BE HANDED IN COMPLETELY & CORRECTLY FILLED OUT by this meeting date or you will not be able to work.
